Ideas - It would be good to see some bar or timer to when magic attack will appear. Or ability perform it on my decision. I will non say anything about basic things for survival game - power-ups, heal, bosses and etc, I think you already have it in plans :)

Hello! Bar looks good, and i like that it can be playable on touchscreen.
1. It feels too easy. Looks like you remove enemy progression. That is same amount of enemies at 12 minute as at 2. So it become boring. If you want game like Vampire Survivors, you need return it progression back. People like insane amount of enemies that makes PC lag XD
2. May be control of skill was not so good idea. It was part of challenge to survive with less control. Need to try it with enemy progression :)
3. I dont know what is your goal. If you only study, may be it will be good idea to copy some features from Vampire Survivors or other Survival games. For example
A. That XP bubles, that drops form enemyes that fly to hero from some radius.
B. Power Ups, temporary for bubles/permanent for gold. Don't forget to make enemyes stronger too, but with that their amount progression dont make them too much strong. I think there are must be tutor how to do it. Or AI can help to make it.
C. Special Pick Ups/ Armor / Wheapon. Not many, for example 3 armor, 3 wheapon. That become available after Killing 3 or 5 minute boss. Or from random enemy but after 3 or 5 minutes, for start will be good.
D. New abilities with different patterns/ mechanics
